Has anyone had an issue with the S9 SD card? Every once in a while I see the message NO SD Card even though it has been properly inserted. I then extract and re-insert and it reads the card. Another issue is that at times the SD card records summary data and misses the deatailed data. I download the card to my computer usually once a week..... and I often pack up the S9 and move it to another location when I travel. Does the power-on then power-off cycle.... or the weekly removing the card have a negative effect on the machines ability to read data. Early on I had a faulty SD card from Resmed that did the same thing....but replacing it seemed to correct the problem until recently. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks, Tim

Re: SD Card Issue
This is a fairly common issue with the S9. Try quick formatting the card in your computer, then reinsert it into the machine and it should be available again.
Unfortunately the S9 does not store the detailed data in the machine, so if the card goes screwy, the summary is all that's left.
I've seen other posters recommend flipping the write-protect tab to the "Lock" position before putting it in your computer. The S9 seems to be extremely picky about having extra files on the card.

When in doubt, open the case. Remember: If you can't open it, you don't own it!

Re: SD Card Issue
Sometimes the contacts on the card, the PC, or the machine can get dirty (oxidization) and prevent a good connection. The act of removing and reinserting the card can sometimes 'wipe' the contacts and result in a good connection again. The solution can be the use of a contact cleaner that's safe for use with plastics. Apply a small amount to the contacts on the card (a Q-Tip works well for this) and inset it into the PC/machine and that should clean the contacts on the PC/machine too. You can also use a clean pencil eraser on the card's contacts but this does nothing for the PC/machine's contacts.

Re: SD Card Issue..S9
Thanks for that tip. Sounds like a good idea to download to software frequently, and maybe backup entire card to computer regularly. I've been on S7 and S8 for over a year and recenty upgraded -twice- to S9.DiverCTHunter wrote:This is a fairly common issue with the S9. Re: SD Card Issue
SD cards are consumeable items. If one starts playing up, and the normal fixes (described above) are ineffective, just throw it out a buy a new onetearendt wrote:Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: SD Card Issue
Thanks to all. I'll try a new card.... hoping that the problem is not with the APAP slot.
