Sleepyhead data issue

Post by dubckc » Sun Dec 30, 2012 11:45 am

Hello all! I recently upgraded to a Respironics System One APAP based primarily on the great info I found here. I've used CPAP for many years and now have the opportunity to review data and am very excited!

I've been putting the data in both Sleepyhead and Encore Basic for comparison. The issue that I've found is the Sleepyhead data appears to be corrupt while the Encore data looks good on some nights. For instance, of the 9 nights worth of data I have, two of the nights in Sleepyhead show AHI of 3,953 and 2,574 while Encore shows these nights as 3.1 and 3.9. The Sleepyhead info also appears to be cut off as it just stops on the graphs about 2 hours before the wake time.

I'm running Windows 7 and Sleepyhead v0.9.2-3 (which I think is the most current version). I've tried deleting the data out of Sleepyhead and off the SD card and reloading the SD card from the machine and into Sleepyhead but it gives me the same result.

Any advice or feedback is appreciated on what I'm doing wrong here. I know the Sleepyhead software is still in development and I really appreciate the efforts that have been made to develop this great tool. I'm just wondering if I'm doing something wrong with data import or this is an easily corrected error that others have seen. I've looked around the forums but don't seem to see anything obvious with what I might be doing wrong.

Thanks again and my thanks to the many supportive members of this forum - I've sure found a wealth of information here that helped me make a great decision with my latest CPAP equipment.

first of all, the official version of sleepyhead does not work with 60 series machines. if you are getting data at all, you are using the patch that a different user wrote for the 60 series machines. yes it is buggy. yes the stuff you are reported has been reported in other threads. so if you continue to use sleepyhead with the patch, ignore the buggy problems and wait til the real update comes out written by the original person that wrote it. when it does come out it will be announced up and down the forums. i use the official sleepyhead and encore basic for the same reasons. they work fine.

Thanks for that info - I will do that and wait for the official release. In the meantime, Sleepyhead seems to be a very good program with a lot of details. Thanks again for the info!
