Finally a small victory
I am new to the cpap community, recently diagnosed and placed on machine. I have been using machine every day but have been struggling with leaks, being uncomfortable etc and taking mask off after 2-3 hours. Last night went to bed at normal time and woke up today with everything in place and working. Next goal is 3 days straight.

YEAH! Congrats.
For me, my goal is less interruptions and getting up in the night. Last night, once! Yeah! I'm trying for none.

TyeDye Dave,
Congratulations on having a better night! It is always good to set realistic goals for ourselves (especially in the beginning) regarding our PAP therapy, and it sounds like you are doing just that. Though you are new to life "on the hose", you will find that a good attitude and the right mask, can go along way to achieving success, both short term and down the road. If you are like most of us you will be using your PAP machine, mask, and hose for a lot of years; it is a journey and not a sprint!
May your next goal of 3 days straight be reached and pave the way to other positive outcomes in your therapy
John

That's wonderful! It's good to hear positive experiences. I got 4 hours of sleep with my ASV the last 2 nights in a row. It takes me forEVER to fall asleep, but once I do my sleep quality with the mask is impressive to me. I feel like I got a full nights sleep. I wonder how it will feel when I actually do sleep a full night! Congratulations to you, rooting for you to continue with few to no problems

Congratulations. There is *no doubt* that it takes a little while to adjust to CPAP therapy. Afterall, it's NOT NORMAL to be hooked up to a leaf blower! But you can adjust to just about anything. It just takes that persistence. The good news is that you are on your way to much better sleep.

Thanks for support. I have not had the wow I feel great day yet. I have been sleep deprived for many years from snoring like a chain saw and work as well. I am very optimistic that therapy will work, for all good things take time.
