Re: Wanting to make the DME world Better
When you wade into a hog wallow, you'd best be prepared to get dirty. If we're grumpy, it's because we've been mistreated by people in your line of work (so you say). That and the cumulative effect of oxygen deprivation. But don't take it personally. It's just patterns of shadow on a computer screen.

The DMEs do a horrible job of patient education. Patient education would be taken up by forums like this and maybe large practices or hospitals would hold classes and individual sessions as needed.

So what do you think about offering online Consultation maybe via video web?

IF......and I MEAN "IF".......this person is not "chrisp" or has no connection to him, then I apologize to this person.
It was just strange how this person is claiming to be a DME employee and "chrisp" was so anti-DME in his old postings.
I suppose it's possible that an IP number got switched and CPAPTalk's software identified it as "chrisp".
If that's the case and this person is "legit", then I'd say give her(?) the benefit of the doubt.

Do you really think DME's are going to pay you as a consultant to help them educate their patients, to no longer need their most expensive services?
Get real. Look here. http://jobs.rotech.com/indiana-jobs
Best of luck Chrisp.

Re: Wanting to make the DME world Better
Thank you! I am a female and I love educating people about respiratory care, it is a passion of mine and all I want to do is offer something that I love to do to everyone, help personnel out and eventually I would like to make a living educating and consulting these DME offices that are soooo BROKEN. I need help on how to offer the best consultation advise to DME offices.Wulfman... wrote:IF......and I MEAN "IF".......this person is not "chrisp" or has no connection to him, then I apologize to this person.

Most of then only want to know how to make loads of money.
I would be surprised if there were a market for what you propose.

Okay for the last freaking time i am not chrisp! If they pay an RT to go in there and educate members, and they have to pay them an arm and a leg to do it, along with benefits...exc, why wouldn't they hire someone to show them a new way of doing it. Wouldn't it be nice to actually have a video chat with a RT about your issues that you may be having with your machine? Or wouldn't you want someone to come into the DME, Explain and educated the other RTs on how to educate the patients that come in. That way you would have a system in place that you knew worked in other facilities and would be more confident in your RTs and that every patient is being taken care of at the same level as it is provided by other DME offices....it would set a standard of practice for DME offices

There is no profit in it. Fail!
This thread needs to fall of the page. I'm out.

"Thou does protest too much"
We had a fellow(?) on here a month or so ago trying to convince us that he was a legitimate seller, but he kept "overconvincing" too. He protested too much also.
