Has anyone used these in place of a chin strap for nasal masks? Thoughts? Do you think they would work?

Re: Alternative To Chin Straps
Seems needlessly expensive to me. I think a couple of strips of cheap 3M Millipore tape would get the job done once you figure out the placement.joeyjernigan wrote:Has anyone used these in place of a chin strap for nasal masks? Thoughts? Do you think they would work? http://www.chinupstrip.com/

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I have cut the 3M blue tape into a chin-up shape (in MY size)
I even made a pattern out of an expired Sally card.
Way cheaper, and a mindless activity to put myself into sleepy mood.

I wonder if one of the offered variations of these would work with my mustache and goatee as opposed to the normal "Taping"?

Re: Alternative To Chin Straps
In my opinion, it depends on how much of a leak problem is "mouth opening" versus "going through the lips". Like in my case, even if my mouth is closed, air tends to get out anyways. Means I have to tape the lips shut - chin straps won't work.
That's not the case for most people, though. If you just need to keep the jaw shut, then something like this product could work well as an alternative to chin straps.

I ordered the sampler package but haven't tried them (I don't want to start taping).I wonder if one of the offered variations of these would work with my mustache and goatee as opposed to the normal "Taping"?
They only offer two shapes, \__/ and |__| and both are applied just below your bottom lip, looking at your picture it looks like a definite ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, moment.
