Pressure of 18

Has anyone been able to use a nasal pillow with that high of pressure

Yes, many have had success with nasal pillows...even bilevel pressures in the 20s.
I use nasal pillows and I see 18 often. I sleep just fine and right through it.

Thanks been told at the store the pressure would be to high so been hesitant to try one. I breathe through my mouth to so that is a problem also

The breathing through your mouth will be more of a problem with the nasal pillows than the pressure would be.
It's a bit weird having the air go up your nose..at least at first but it really is fairly easy to get used to.
Do have to figure out how to keep the mouth closed though.

Thank just got a fitlife full face mask today hoping to have some luck with it haven't had much luck so far

Maybe the profit margin is less?
I know some DME's also stay away from some other masks, even though they carry the brand--same reason?
Without a polygraph, you never know why they say what they do.
Note: Fitlife has a very large seal area, fit is a matter of trial and error--it either fits or it doesn't.

I'd say some people are fine with it, some people would really hate it. It just depends. I wouldn't START with a high pressure like that if you've never used nasal pillows before. It might be overwhelming to start. Now it seems very natural to me, but at first nasal pillows felt very "injected into the nose"

They also have to seal well or you'll be hating life, though that's true with any mask at higher pressure.

Are there any pillows that work better than others? With my machine, I'm on a 19 but am going to try an APAP to see if I respond as well with a lower pressure. I'd like to get rid of my current mask because of sores under my nose and go to a nasal pillow like the Swift FX. Are there some that work better at higher pressures than others?

It just depends on what fits and seals well. Nasal pillows which a borderline seal just do badly under high pressure. For example, the Swift LT and Aloha pillows fit me, but the Swift FX fits much less well, even in the same size.
