Sleepyhead and the PR Sys 1 BiPAP autoSV advanced

Post by Hawk256 » Thu Aug 23, 2012 12:04 pm

I am having trouble getting Sleepyhead to retrieve data from this machine. It recognizes the machine, model number and serial number but I cannot import any data. When I go to do the import it just sits idle and does nothing. I have used Sleepyhead on my CPAP so I know how it works but it doesn't seem to work with this machine. Can anyone tell me if this machine is fully supported? I am trying to determine if it's me or the software.

UPDATE: Sleepyhead is working in Windows but not on my Mac. There must be a problem with the Mac version of Sleepyhead.

Some of the PR S1 ASV machines seem to have a problem with SleepyHead. Some people get it to work fine and some don't. Unsure why.

You will need an newer Encore...I think I sent it to you. If I didn't...drop me a note and I will get you pointed towards it. Encore Viewer that you show in your profile won't work with the new PR S1 ASV machines.

I have Encore Basic and Sleepyhead for Windows which seems to work fine in my virtual machine. But since I am a Mac user I would prefer Sleepyhead to work on the Mac as well.

Does anyone know if jedimark is still haging out on this forum. I thinking between him and Jimbo they might be able to fix this problem.

I read something from Jedimark on ONE of the apnea forums from either July and/or August and he said he's still working on Sleepyhead but at a much slower pace due to health/work/life issues.

Thanks again Jedimark for all that you've given.

I don't follow cpaptalk quite as often as the sleepyhead lists, and just noticed your post.

Can you tell if the Mac version of SleepyHead is 64-bit vs 32-bit? I believe the windows version is 32-bit. I discovered some 64-bit bugs in the PRS1 importer code which were impacting my linux install earlier this year and fixed them, but they haven't made it into an official release yet since Mark is having health issues.

If the SleepyHead Mac version is 64-bit I would expect it to have exactly the sort of behavior you describe, which is what I was seeing on Linux before I fixed it.

One of these days I will try to post an updated Mac version for the series 60 as I did with Windows - but I need to get a build system working for that (I don't own a Mac). If you're good with XCode/etc the theoretically-working source is available.

I posted my patched OSX version of SleepyHead at:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/thefreemanclan ... pyHead.dmg

It might fix your problems. The main fixes are to the series 60 though. Hopefully we'll be able to get these into the official build soon...
