PR System One BiPAP autoSV Advanced machine died -- I got a NEW replacement for $100.
Hello and what NEWS!!!

I RECEIVED A BRAND NEW ZERO HOUR PR System One BiPAP autoSV Advanced for . . .

$100, plus $15 Shipping!

Yes, you read that correctly, I received a new $5,000 machine for $115.00.

Website for the repair company: http://www.advanscpap.com/cpap-repair/

FIRST A MAJOR DISCLAIMER – I HAVE NO CONNECTION WHATSOEVER WITH THIS COMPANY.

In March 2012, I purchased the BiPAP machine off craigslist. It had zero hours. About a month ago, when I had 511.7 Therapy Hours, I began to have problems with the BiPAP. The alarm would sound and the machine would shut down and display the error message: Device Inoperative. I would unplug it and plug it back and it would work. It began to happen too often, so I searched the internet to try and locate a company to service it.

I ran across the website for Advans. Below I have pasted the text from their website. The ad had the following statement:

There is a possibility of a full replacement of your current equipment if the machine is less than two years old.

Well, I was very dubious about a replacement, as a matter of fact, I even felt dubious about a repair for $100, but since I could not locate another repair site, I sent them the machine. A few days later, they notified me that they could NOT repair the BiPAP.

About TWO WEEKS later I received the BRAND NEW MACHINE – NO ADDITIONAL COST -- $115.00!

Again, I have no affiliation with them, but if you have a machine that needs repair, they OBVIOUSLY have my strongest recommendation!!!

Ya know, this is kinda interesting. I'm certainly going to bookmark this link. A few years ago our local electricity provider, PG&E, had a major power line go down and it pretty much blew up everything that was turned on in our house: TV, DVD player, radios , stereo, dishwasher... all except for the fridge. They ended up paying for the replacements of everything but I know there's no way they'd replace a PR System One APAP... "What the f*** is a APAP?", I can just hear them say. Hey, if the XPaP is broken anyway, what do you have to lose sending it to someone?

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
