When did cpaptalk.com Start?

Post by NightHawkeye » Mon Mar 20, 2006 6:06 am

After several months here, I'm interested in knowing when cpaptalk.com started. I'd assumed that it had only been around a couple of years, until I started looking at the old posts and realized that they just seem to pick up in mid-stream.

So how long has cpaptalk.com been around? Two years? Three years? Ten years?

Just curious.

Regards,
Bill

Well, gee. That didn't take very long to get spammed. I was hoping to see the answer to my question instead.

Bill

Bill,

If you go to the member list and look at the dates when people joined, it'll show that Forumadmin's entry date was August 20, 2004.

Thanks, Den.

That kinda makes sense. The posts I can see start four days later on Aug. 24, 2004. It still seems like the posts we can view from that time kinda pick up in the middle. It just doesn't seem quite like the beginning of a forum. At least the few posts I've read don't seem to have that flavor, although there are only a few posts a day for the early days.

Thanks.

Regards,
Bill

And I went back and found your FIRST post, too, Wader.
And, the subject of that thread (buying on Ebay and Yahoo auctions) is still coming up these days, too.

Best wishes (to an "old timer"),

Den

Thanks Den,

LOL! does seem that a week doesn't go by without another "cpap is back on eBay" post.

...just got an idea, maybe Johnny should start a cpap auction site called "c"Bay. LOL!!!

Wader,

Did you ever read this?

https://www.cpap.com/aboutUs.php

It was that idea that got them started in their online business.

Yeah, it's funny how many times the same subjects come up on the forums.

What was comforting to me when I started reading this forum (probably last April or May) was that I was definitely not alone in what I was going through in trying to get adjusted to this new way of sleeping/breathing.

Have a good one.
