First night after switching to APAP

Post by rottyjohn » Sat Feb 11, 2012 1:19 pm

Hello All,

Well first night went pretty well. Got 5 hrs of sleep. Just recently switched to PR S1 APAP set range to 12-20 and aflex to "3". My AHI was under 5 like 4.65 I believe. Haven't seen it that low in a while. I was suprized that my 90% rate was 17 cm and my leak rate stayed low. I had used 13 cm staight CPAP for approximately the last 8 months. My apnea is very positional on my side its much less than on my back. I am going to try and make no adjustments for at least a week and see what happens? Not an easy thing for me...

Good news on the lower AHI. Let's hope it keeps getting better. Good idea to get used to things first before you make any adjustments. After a while, it's possible that a little tweaking (like maybe a tighter range) may improve things, too.

Like you, my apnea is worse on my back. I guess it's a good thing that I prefer to sleep on my side.

SmartLink module works, but software doesn't, so I'm using SleepyHead. Thanks, JediMark!
