Cleaning/ sterilizing used CPAP

Post by BigJohn2 » Fri Jan 20, 2012 1:19 pm

I inherited a ResMed S9 AutoSet W/ an H5i Humidifier, and my question is what must i do in the way of sterilizing the unit?

Replace the filter, hose, and mask. You can also wipe down the outside surface.

Lucky you! I think sanitizing is what you can aim for, new hose, mask , filters, give the humidifier tank a vinegar and water soak. Hopefully the machine has no bad odors, or been used around a smoker, if that were the case I'd let it run for a long time in some fresh air and then replace the filters again. kathy
