Sleepweaver Mask - yet again...

Post by ems » Wed Dec 21, 2011 2:24 pm

Any having real success with it?? I know several people have tried to use it.

I tried but gave up... but tossing around another go at it. Anyone on BPAP using it?

Hi, ems. For 5 months I have used the SW as my primary and only mask, and yes, I have chronic problems with leaking, particularly after several hours asleep. As I've been wondering when I'll have to go to a replacement mask, I looked around and decided to try the ComfortLite2. It's not as free feeling as the SW, but the CL2 is a viable device that still works with eyeglasses, and feels like there's not lots of contraption on my head.
So what I've been doing a week or so is starting out the night with the nasal pillows CL2 and when I invariably wake up after midnight, I switch to Sleepweaver. It may be my imagination, but I think I have better success with each mask by not trying to go the whole night with either.
So, I'm mostly satisfied with the SW and just ignore the excessive leak levels. Nothing can beat the comfort, IMHO, of the SleepWeaver. I may very well get a second one, but won't have to quite as quickly now that I'm split-nighting with the two masks.

I am super interested in how the Padacheek will work, Xena. Do post when you've gotten it and given it a good try. A way to tighten up SW would make it almost perfect. earl aka n0hardmask
