S9 AutoSet power button
Do you power your S9 down everyday or do you just leave the power on (green light showing in power button).

It depends. If I didn't use my humidifier I shut it down before I pull the card. If I used the humidifier and it wants to blow air to dry the hose, I leave it on. There really isn't any reason to shut it down.

Well, if we would ALL put all of our "stand by" electrical appliances on "surge bars" and turn them off w/the "surge bar" when not in use the energy savings would be tremendous.
On the other hand, if every man, woman and child in this country put a dollar in the pot we wouldnl't even begin to address this country's debt.

OK, there's that reason, and a very valid one Slinky.

The problem with using a power strip with the S9 is you may inadvertently turn it off too soon. I don't know how soon the S9 is finished writing data to the SD card but it is not immediate. But, if you come back in and turn the strip off anywhere from 10 minutes on after getting up you'll undoubtedly be safe.Slinky wrote:Well, if we would ALL put all of our "stand by" electrical appliances on "surge bars" and turn them off w/the "surge bar" when not in use the energy savings would be tremendous.
