CPAP must be working.

Post by squid13 » Sun Dec 11, 2011 1:15 pm

My cpap must be working cause I went Christmas shopping with my wife Friday. Last year there was no way I could of done that. I really must say that I enjoyed myself doing it since it had been a long time since my wife and I spent a whole day out shopping like that.

First of all happy to see you happy

But I wanted to say that CPAP can not "not work". It is a very specific device for a very specific purpose so as long as the person is using it properly there is no reason for it not to work. Just the trouble is being stuck using it...

Maybe what I should of said was that all my hard work of staying with it every night and being 100% compliant is paying off by feeling so much better and not being so tired and run down all the time.

Ah I understand what you mean.
Unfortunately you did not have much choice but to get along / play along / learn to live with the CPAP as far as I know there is no other treatment option...

Anyways, wish you a green light street of good sleep and more outside walks from now on

Bet your wife was pleased to have someone energetic enough now to carry the steadily accumulating shopping bags all day.

Hope you two have a very happy holiday season, and that you have a long lifetime of good breathin' sleep every night. Your hard work getting used to that crazy new way of trying to sleep has, indeed, paid off.

Thank you Rested Gal and a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you also. My wife says she just amazed at the difference in me since I've started cpap. I remember when going to bed was just take the clothes off and get in bed, now it's a major production.
