My xPAP Journey

Post by DJ_Boxer » Mon Nov 14, 2011 8:56 am

I was diagnosed in August 2009 with severe OSA and given a Remstar Auto M with C-Flex and a pressure of 11. I have tried various masks (nasal-pillow, Nasal, FFM) and have ended up with the ResMed Activa LT Nasal and the Quattro Full Face for when I am to stuffy for a nasal rinse(Neilmed Neti-Pot,Waterpik Sinusense). As of 11/11/11 I was given a ResMed S9 Autoset w/ Climateline tubing and a pressure of 10cm. After using it for those 3 nights my AHI on the screen has been below 2. I was using an old mask as a test with the numbers and it was 1.7 because the mask's forehead support pad came out of one slot but I didn't know until I woke up normally. I have started with a setting for my humidifier of 74 degrees Farenheit. I have noticed that between the Resmed and the Respironics machine that I do not even here the S9 Autoset with the Humidifier unlike the Respironics. My DME actually gave me 6 Resmed white filters for I believe no extra cost (will have to check the paperwork when I get home). I will post my numbers after a week of usage.
