To all CPAPtalk.com Veterans on Veterans Day
Veterans, thank you for what you have done and what you may still be doing for us. As a Veteran your sacrifices can never be fully known or your losses fully understood. May your life be continually blessed for all of your service to your country and its people!

One time a cop pulled me over for running a stop sign. He said, "Didn't you see the stop sign?" I said, "Yeah, but I don't believe everything I read." -- Steven Wright

Re: To all CPAPtalk.com Veterans on Veterans Day
In honor of my fellow Veterans I would like to share a poem that I wrote while serving in the Army. I apologize that it did not include the equally deserving Women Veterans, but back when I enlisted there were far fewer females and Basic Training was not COED.
They come into this place as boys
Tin soldiers are they then
They leave behind their childhood toys
To become fighting men
Brought together in many a creed
Religion, Race, And Colors
But friendship soon plants its lasting seed
Bonding each as Brothers
They work together through days of hell
Challenged with hardship, sweat, and pain
They try their best to do it well
Then turn around and do it again
But as time goes on these friends must part
Each to go his separate way
And break the bonds within their heart
To meet again some other day
But if in Battle again they meet
Their Country to defend
And try the enemy to defeat
Fighting to the very end
And if in battle on this day
One should lose his life
The other one will proudly say
'Twas for his Country that he died
He always will remember well
Each day right from the start
The good times and the fiery hell
But now the friends must part
When it comes time for him die
He knows they'll meet again
In Heaven way up in the sky
Forever to be friends
Thanks to all who have served.

Re: To all CPAPtalk.com Veterans on Veterans Day
Two months ago my son and I were changing planes in Charlotte on our way to check out Liberty University where my son wants to attend. As the plane we were waiting for pulled up to the jetway, the gate attendant announced that Cpl. Dakota Meyer of the USMC was going to be first off the plane and that he was coming home from Afghanistan to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor which he earned for repeatedly braving a gauntlet of enemy fire in order to rescue U.S. and Afghani fighters who had been trapped in an ambush.
This is the hero:

Everyone within earshot, some from as far as three gates away, rose to their feet and applauded and cheered loudly when the self-conscious looking Cpl. Meyer appeared at the door.
And while Cpl. Meyer received a special award for doing something truly outstanding, every one of you who have been there and back, as well as those who did not return, are no less heroes to all of us.

Semper Fi to all my Marine brothers and sisters, and thank you to everyone who is serving and has served in the Armed Forces.

Thinking of quitting CPAP?
No problem, here's the first thing to do when you quit:
Advanced funeral planning. When you give up CPAP, you'll probably need it.
