As the papCAP is constructed, the elastic is in the end sections of the chinstrap. These same sections contain the velcro piles. Over months of use, the sections with the velcro hoops on the cap have developed a nice washboard pattern.
Because I sleep a lot on my sides, guess the pattern now imprinted onto my temples? The pattern lasts all day.
Has any papCAPer come up with a solution to prevent, or minimize?
Earl

Or check out padacheek.com. Karen, the owner, is a member here, and she makes a lot of padded strap covers. If she doesn't carry what you need, she'll work with you to come up with something that does work. Highly recommended--she does a great job.

Re: Washboard Effect with papCAP
I tacked a piece of fluffy fleece to the inside left cheek strap of my headgear for my ComfortGel Full face.
That was the only place I got a strap mark--now, not at all.
Nothing needed but a needle and a teensy bit of thread.
The fleece doesn't wrap around, so I can adjust the velcro with no problem at all.
