I'm using the ruby chinstrap, and I've noticed that I'm getting permanent lines on my cheeks from it. They're not indentations, and they aren't even very red. It just seems like there's a line that's a little darker than the rest of my skin where the edge of the strap goes across my cheek. It's very subtle, and I doubt anybody notices, but if it's this bad after 5 months, how bad will it be after 30 years???
It never goes away. Today I got up at 7:30am, and the lines were still there at 11:30pm when I was brushing my teeth to go to bed.
Any suggestions?

Re: Permanent lines from chinstrap
I predict that a very large segment of the population will be using CPAP within the next 10 years. Strap marks will become a sign of people who are intelligent enough to treat their condition.
Just consider yourself an avant garde fashionista and wear the marks proudly.

Try a strap cover: pad a cheek or other types of fleece covers. You can buy your own fleece and make your own. I use Afta aftershave on my red marks and they go away fairly quickly.
