ClimateLine heated tube question

Just got my ClimateLine heated tube out to use with my S9 ASV machine. With over 70 days over 100 degrees this summer I just used a regular hose until now. Now for the question...

The last few nites I've used it I don't feel as good in the morning and my AHI has been a bit higher. The hose is smaller than a regular hose and I'm thinking that due to smaller size the air has to travel faster to do the same thing and I'm wondering if that might be disturbing my sleep a little.

Any thoughts?

Starting with the obvious:

1) You did change the hose setting to ClimateLIne, didn't you?

2) What did you set the temp on the ClimateLine hose at? And how did it feel? Appropriately warm? Too hot? Not hot enough?

I remember seeing a hose setting when I was using my other hose but I don't see it now that I've put the ClimateLine hose on.

71 degrees
And how did it feel?

About like the setting of 2.0 I was using on the regular hose
Appropriately warm? Too hot? Not hot enough?

Take off the Climate Line and re attach it. The machine should show "Climate Line Enabled" or some such message. You can also change the temp of the house and humidity manually or leave it in auto mode.

When you attached the ClimateLine tubing, did you remove the little cover that is right below the hose fitting on the back of the machine? This is so that when you attach the ClimateLine tube, you do so with the sensor tab at 3:00 and turn it down until it snaps into place at 6:00 (looking at the face of a clock to be clear).

As Cuda said, you should see a message on the screen of your S9 - "ClimateLine enabled" - when you do this correctly.

I would also start with a setting of between 80 and 86 degrees as many people find the warmer air more comfortable.

... and I do best at 70 degrees. Anything higher makes me congested.

Did that and I get the message you pointed out.

Now, what about my thoughts that the air traveling faster due to the restricted size of the hose my have anything to do with quality of sleep. Anyone?

I would think that the programming that recognizes the Climateline would be designed to recognize and adapt to tube size. As to why your sleep would be different, I can't guess.

I would suggest you set the temperature down as far as it will let you;
and then sneak it up a little at a time until your inner "Goldilocks" is happy.
That's what I did, and it worked pretty good.
I run it lower in summer than in winter, and the slightly warmed hose air when it's cold in the room beats the heck out of a chilly beak.

If your S9 came with a regular hose it would have been a slinline. The climateline is about the same internal size.

Sounds like a plan.

Never even had a humidifier the first seven years I was on the hose.
