High Altitude CPAP Use

Post by sheldons65 » Sun Jul 17, 2011 4:06 pm

Last week I was visiting the Antamina copper mine in Peru at about 14,500 feet. Stayed 2 nights and CPAP sure helped me not get behind on O2 at night.

You're lucky not to come out with a periodic breathing attack at such hight.

Ouch!! That is a high altitude. I have vacationed several times at as much as 10,000 feet with no problems. I believe I would have trouble staying at >14,000 for any length of time whether I was awake or asleep.
