I don't know much about sleep architecture. You had 9.9 RERAs per hour ON CPAP? That doesn't sound ideal. And only 1 REM period, so possibly you weren't titrated adequately to REM. What pressure are you at? Have you ever fiddled with the pressures, going up a bit to see if you feel better?
Interestingly, my machine rarely reports large leaks, even if they are enough to wake me! So I have lost some of my faith in whether the machines can be counted on to report mouth leaks.
I am starting to wonder if I'm like you, except in contrast to you, I feel like crud without CPAP, too. I also don't like ambiguity, not one tiny bit.

Yes, I'd form an Anti-Ambiguity League, but she has that b@st@rd Entropy on her side, so it's hopeless. I just try to go with flow as much as I can, and drink Margaritas when I can't! LOL
10 RERAs is high, huh? Well, it was a truly lousy night, so I'm not sure how representative the numbers are, or comparable to "real life". I've played with the pressures some...was at the high 9's, maybe 10 most recently...but the neg. effects took a while to show up and worsen to the point that continuing was untenable, so it's hard to know how long to trial a pressure before moving on. Besides, I kinda don't think that my body is such a delicate mechanism that a small change, of the sort I'm talking about here, would make a huge difference.
I tested my machine while awake and it seems to register leaks pretty accurately.
