I have a blog that's a couple months old. I've been sending updates to friends and family from time to time.
Recently I finished a 3 part series of posts on sleep apna that more or less coincided with my joining this happy Hosehead board. I don't know how much education the learned gang here will find in my blog as it's pretty high level, but I do think it's important to tell the greater world about what OSA is and how much of a difference CPAP can make. Of course you're free to read the rest of the blog if you have a lot of time to kill and/or you're a glutton for punishment, but these three pieces are specifically appropriate for cpaptalk people who might want to point a friend or loved one to an independent spot on the web to learn of another person's experience as a hosehead.
At the very worst, they'll have wasted a few minutes of their life that they'll never be able to get back. Best case scenario is that they'll say to themselves "Self, this sounds eerily familiar. Maybe I should get myself/spouse/child checked out!

Say, this is wonderful!!
So far I've only read the first one, but I'll be reading the rest (I'm a slow and lazy reader).
You write well! And the description is fun to read and more importantly, definitely something others should read. You're doing a great thing by providing this on your blog, even if it's read only by family and friends. You never know who you will affect. Good going!!

Great stuff - I tried to leave a comment in the blog, but it kept asking me to type in letters which I did. But, after 12 attempts and getting sent back to retype new ones, I gave up!
I just wanted to post a comment that not all apnea sufferers snore. Probably the majority do, but I have never snored, and do have moderate OSA which is now being treated with CPAP. I never thought of apnea for myself because I don't snore, but was so exhausted all the time, my doc sent me for the sleep study and what do you know - OSA. I just thought that would be helpful information, so if someone has other symptoms they don't rule it out just because they don't snore.
Thanks!
Karen
