Allergy issues that make CPAP a pain

Post by Geminidream » Fri Feb 25, 2011 6:43 pm

I have had allergy issues off and on for a while now and I am wondering if it has something to do with my mask or rather the kind of material it is made of. It may not be a cause, but I wonder if it is aggrevating the issue. Does anyone else have this problem or have some ideas?
My numbers have been creeping a little higher than I like...not terrible, but not what I am used to seeing. I have taken my mask off a couple of times during the night (and been unaware of it) again and I think it is becasue of the irritation in my nose that makes me do it.

if it's the material that it's made of... is it a skin reaction or a scent reaction?

If skin... try a padacheek liner or remzzz's... basically put something between your skin and the mask

If scent... have to tried to clean it... some folks even have to let their's off-gas? Not sure what that would take though.
