Hi all,
I have been waking up more refreshed on most days now. So that is good news. However there are some mornings when I am still lagging and I feel like I could sleep for the entire day. I am wondering if it's because my mask is leaking and I don't know it. I have been using the Quietus mask liners and they do make the mask more comfortable but It's harder to detect leaks. I am constantly checking around my mask with my finger to see if I can feel anything. Also, my mask does seem to shift in the night I usually wake reset and go back to sleep. Also, If I don't use the mask liners the cushion on the mask irritates my skin. I really don't think that the mask is on to tight. I make sure that the cushion fills with air before I click on the final strap. I don't really know if my skin is allergic or something. Would Vaseline help? I did just order a mask liner from Pad a Cheek and I am waiting for it to come in the mail. I am worried that I won't be able to detect leaks with that either. Oh I forgot to mention that my machine is locked out of me getting info and I don't think I would know what to look for to see if I have any leaks anyway
Not sure if my mask is leaking or not
Re: Not sure if my mask is leaking or not
You have what ResMed calls an entry-level machine -- very little data is collected and none about leaks. I would try to get it swapped out the the S9 Elite CPAP or the S9 Autoset before your 30-days are up. Both of those machines have full-data collection & reporting.
Use the Mask Fit feature to identify what a good seal feels like, then you will know when you wake up if the seal is good. Without leak data, it's impossible to accurately assess the amt of leak that occurs during your sleep.

Did I miss where you mentioned which mask you are using? Knowing which mask may help others help youpbsd wrote:Hi all,

Edit: Hands down the very best way to tell if you are leaking is to use software with a data capable machine.

I have no doubt, how I sleep affects every waking moment.
I am making progress-NOW I remember that I can't remember

If this isn’t rocket science why are there so many spaceshots?
