Ordering supplies from Praxair?

Post by joeattardi » Tue Dec 28, 2010 10:54 pm

Do any of you have Praxair as your DME supplier? I need to order a new mask cushion but Praxair's website has no information that I can find about ordering supplies. Am I better off just going with CPAP.com? I think BCBSTX reimburses at 60% for online out of network suppliers.

I don't know anything about Praxair. I would check out ebay and amazon as I have seen CPAP supplies and equipment on both. Then compare their prices with online prices. See which way you come out best.

This is unrelated, but is that a ferret? It's so cute!

And as for an ON-topic post, I ended up ordering my cushion from CPAP.com.

yeap, that is a ferret. That is Gabriel aka Mister. He came from military animal control services as a neglect case a year ago right before Thanksgiving. He was maybe 24-48 hrs away from death from starvation. His cagemate had been dead in the cage for quite sometime. The animals were found locked in vacate quarters on a military installation.

He was so week he could barely hold his head up. He was severely dehydrated and emaciated. I carried him around in a sweat shirt and keep in my my version of a ferret NICU warmer with oxygen. He was feed strained baby meat and kitten formula every 4 hrs and got IV fluids for a week.

I really thought he would not make it through the night....he was that sick. He shocked everyone...when at the 5th day he would stand on wobbly legs run and fall over trying to get to the litter box to go to the bathroom.

He is now happy healthy little ferret...with some PTSD, separation anxiety and some food hoarding issues....He is otherwise pretty normal.

His previous owner was charged with 5 counts of animal abuse and neglect. We named him Gabriel and felt as one of Gods creatures he needed a name that reflected his story.

The really sad part was that he was about 6-9 mos old when I got him. We celebrate his birthday on Christmas.
