Well, the guy was fortunate that the surgeons he saw did turn him away. There are those surgeons who value their income more than their patient. But ONLY FIVE MASKS??? Goshes, I've probably gone thru a dozen before I found one I like every night.

Seems to me that since I can feel my CPAP pushing air down my throat and since it seems to wake me up at times, then I'd be sure to wake up every time my tongue got zapped.

It's the AROUSALS that I want to end for crying out loud!

I don't want to wake up because my brain has to wake me up because I can't breathe because my air way is blocked some 23 times an hour on average (even though I don't desat) because that's bad for my health. Even though I managed to learn how to function in the daytime.

And I don't want to wake up numerous times at night because the back of my throat is being tickled when the PR S1 is trying to determine if this particular anpea is a central or an obstructive one .... or whatever other reason the PR S1 is waking me up, all the while it manages to prevent most (but not all) of those 23 times per hour that my upper airway decides to collapse.

And I really don't want to wake up 23 times an hour because my tongue gets zapped to keep it from relaxing too much.

I think I'll pass on this one and keep trying to desensitize the back of my throat to the PR S1 in the hopes that in a few more weeks or months I'll manage to actually sleep from 11:30 pm to 6:30 am without waking up.
