Sleep weaver and leaks

Post by sounds like a goose » Mon Dec 20, 2010 7:54 pm

Wonderful site! A site 'virgin' but 10 yr. cpap user. Just recently purchased the Sleepweaver mask upon my MD's recommendation(he also has sleep apnea and raved about the mask) I want this mask to work so much but nothing I do stops the inevitable leaks from the side of my nose below my eyes. Have tried everything mentioned on their site and in the video to no avail. I was wondering if any of you have found a fix that may work for me?
Currently using Swift nasal pillows which do seal well but tend to loose the seal as I shift around in bed. Nothing like waking numerous times a night to rearrange your equipment! lol
Thanks so much and restful sleep to you all!

I used the Sleepweaver first....had a leak at the bridge of my nose, but got it sealed with mole skin. I liked the mask a lot...and i have it as my back up. Moved on to Swift LT -- works very well. I use a bit of Lansinoh on and around the nare openings and it helps get a good seal on the pillows. It is a bit tacky to the touch so it helps the seal.....
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.
