GRATITUDE FOR....

Post by scrapper » Mon Nov 08, 2010 8:29 am

...my friends on this forum.

Yesterday morning as I leaned over to turn off the cpap, I heard a slight hissing from the hose. Sure enough, there was a hole in the Climateline near the the rubber cuff, and it's past the warranty. Researching the forum, I found the fix..........F4 silicone tape with a picture even how it is best to apply it. Thank you dear friends.

Hii Scrapper

I'm very happy for you. Yes you are right it's a great thing to have all the help we get in the forum. And it's very rewarding too to be able to help back with our experiences.

If I was a S9 owner I would have manage to have some F4 tape at hand. Even if I don't have a happy S9, I tried to buy some F4 tape but the company who sell it asked me twice the price of a single roll of tape for shipping, it was an unbelievable price ($60? and the tape was something like $20, I don't remember exactly). So I didn't buy it.

But again if I owned a S9 I would buy F4 tape, It's better to be prepared than to be in trouble

I have wrapped my S9 Slimline and Climateline tubing ends with Vetwrap over the cuffs and an inch or so onto the tubing.
It not only reinforces a flimsy joint, but the texture reminds me to be gentle--even when I'm very sleepy.
Maybe I'll change colors when it gets dingy-looking.
I have Xtreme tape from Harbor Freight, should the unthinkable happen.
Ugly, and only an inch wide--but the same material--and an American product ($10)
--Gratitude that I was able to save a few shekels. hee, hee
That other stuff is more expensive than a REPLACEMENT HOSE!

It seems flexability comes with a price. It don't need space shuttle tiles on it but come on, beef it up a little Resmed guys. john

They are just not ready--same as with the DC power cord.
Probably never will be.
