RESMED pricing

Post by cortez356 » Sun Nov 07, 2010 12:59 pm

Further down in this forum I have stated that I am probably going to order a new S9 Resmed Autoset. I know that many are against Resmed due to their selling policies. I have a question that likely will be better answered via a PM. Does anyone discount the S9 in spite of the Resmed policy? Maybe they throw in a mask or give you a rebate? Of course all of the posted prices are "by the book". Thanks

Bob

I think you are hoping against hope on this one. I've never seen anyone 'throw in' a mask or anything else, for that matter. ResMed has pretty much fixed their prices, and about the only place you might find one is on Craig's List being sold as used for less than the MSRP.

What IS the MSRP on the S9 Autoset? Our DME charged us $1425.00 Just the blower--no humidifier.
We signed an agreement to pay the difference, but the statement from insurance says we're not responsible for the overage.
I know we're screwed; so after the first of the year, we probably will be doing NO business with them.
Everything we need is available from cpap.com; and our deductible is HUGE.

Thanks but $853 w/o the humidifier is the "set" price!

Check with some local DMEs. I just got a brand new ResMed Elite S9, WITH the humidifier and regular hose (climateline costs extra) for $800. I haven't seen it cheaper than that anywhere! The people in the office, including the RT all agreed that they had never had anyone ask to pay out-of-pocket before. They had to call their ResMed sales rep to get a price, then pulled one off the shelf. I watched them unbox it and remove all the parts from sealed plastic wrapping, so I know it was new.

The RT told me I got a good deal.

Resmed is currently offering a $50 rebate for purchase of new machine and mask. I think there is a $20 discount running for mask only.

I posted the links. Hopefully this will help. I just got a new S9 Autoset and Swift LT for her mask with climate line hose humidifier from my local DME. Cost me $303 co-pay which was my $20%. The total was $1533.
