I was wondering if I should try to put Encore Pro 2.4 on my main machine which in XP desktop (SP3). The machine has about 6 months left in it so I don't want to wait to get a new Win 7 machine. The software works so well on my laptop (Win 7) that I find it indispensable.
Why PR chose to only put the waveform data on the "pro" software is beyond me. A brief scan of your waveform data for any particular day is outstanding. You can tell so much more than the daily summary reports. You really can see if the apnea is indeed isolated and if it lasted for only around 10 seconds. The hypopneas are clearer as well. Now I know that when I do have these events that they are short and usually isolated - as well as few and far between. Between that and an occasional oximeter to back it up lets me know that my settings are fine and all is well.
I really wish they would make the (patient) EncoreViewer with the daily waveform reports!
BTW - it looks like all the high end fast computers coming out these days are Win 7 64 bit. Is it really that much better - or is it all hype? Good old 32 bit works fine and doesn't have all the software problems (with lots of programs) that I've been seeing. I really wish they would give out 32 bit disks with the 64 bit pre-installed machines and let you install 32 bit yourself.
