Thought this was a neat idea for all the people who love the electronic gadgets.

I have not heard about this and do not have an iphone.

I did buy the "SleepTracker" watch. You wear it at night (it can be worn all day a regular digital watch). I set my alarm time on it and it wakes me up in a 20 minute window either way of the alarm time but when I am in a light sleep stage, with a quiet alarm and/or a vibration.

During the night it monitors when you are in a light sleep stage and records the time. It comes with software and you can see the light sleep actual times on the watch of on your computer with the software. The software also shows a chart noting the light sleep times through the night. Notes can be made as to how you feel, what your AHI was, if on cpap, and I can look at my Encore Viewer software along with this and see any matchups with sleep stages or events.

It is a gadget and I am a gadget nut but find it interesting.

Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

The iPhone has a built-in LIS302DL, a tiny 3-axis accelerometer, that is used to detect movement of the mattress.

It is an excellent idea for an app, but I am not sure how effective it is.
