FF mask without forehead support

My husband was using a ZZZ mask and broke it. Now he can't get it replaced through his DME. They don't carry the ZZZ or any others without the forehead support. I have been searching for an alternate and I know there are others but I would like some advice. He has to have something that is very sturdy. Some nights he is very wild in his sleep and pulls his mask apart. I may order another ZZZ but I am afraid he will just break it too.

I took a look at this mask and it really is a pretty simple design (as in not much to break). Is he breaking the elbow/fitting where the hose attaches? Or the plastic where the straps go?
Maybe if we know where it is breaking we can figure out a way to reinforce it.

He kept pulling out the elbow. It finally got where it wouldn't stay in so I had to glue it.

That elbow sticks out pretty far. Is he actually grabbing the elbow and pulling, getting the hose caught and pulling his head away, or is he rolling towards face down and mashing the elbow against the bed to pop it out?

I guess I'm now thinking along the lines of a sacrificial weak link which will pop off more easily, but the consequences will not be needing a new $100 mask.

Since it is currently glued, does he miss the pivot?

He pulls it apart in his sleep. He has some wild dreams. He yells in his sleep not just talking on his really bad nights. With the cpap he is a lot more calm. He tried the Hybrid and won't wear it. I wondered about the Hans Rudolph but it is so expensive if he won't wear it or takes it apart in his sleep. He got a swift FX but only used it one night and won't try it again. I have seen others that look like the ZZZ but now I can't find them.

I'm not familiar with the ZZZ beyond the pictures shown and knowing Supergeeky uses one with good result. However, it sounds like when your husband has a bad night, something is going to give. Unless you feel the ZZZ is especially frail in the area that failed, I'm not sure a different model will offer much of a solution.
How hard do you think he'll pull on something in one of these episodes?

I was looking at that one. It looks interesting. I just wonder how sturdy it would be. I guess it is possible for him to destroy anything in his sleep though. I may try it next.
