I'm not dead yet

Post by Babette » Thu Oct 07, 2010 11:03 am

Rumours of my demise are greatly exaggerated. I'm merely depressed, not dead.

Hey, quit poking me. I'm not dead yet. (Monty Python voice: "You soon will be!")

I'm just super busy at work and haven't had time for this forum much. Oh, and I discovered Facebook...

And after two years of ignoring my stats, I feel the need to do a home-retitration and start reading my stats again.

So there!

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

Ah, there you are!!!! OK, I'm depressed too, we can comiserate together!! Go dig out the ole "M" auto out from under that pile of shoes in the back of the closet and dust it off. You still have that old desktop under the desk with EP on it??? You should be set to go!! Run it for a couple of weeks and see what it says. If it has been so long you forgot what the numbers mean we can help!!!

I signed up for facebook for a while, to comunicate with my neice and could not figure it out so I finally told them to delete me. I guess I missed something!!

I'm running Windows XP on the laptop, so I should be okay to go. Haven't tried it yet. I think I know your home phone #, Jerry.

I finally gave away the desktop to a friend who needed it worse than I did. Then I sold the desk. And then I bought another desk that works better for the laptop. Ah the joys of Craigslist!

I slept with the Auto last night on this road trip. It's been my road pap for the last two years, since it's smaller than the Tanks. So it's dusted. I have no excuse for not putting it on the nightstand tonight and turning it to Auto.

I'll keep you posted. Unless I do die. And then, since you unfriended me on Facebook, you'll never hear about it.

LOL,
B

Hi Babs, good to see you and your beard! If I remember correctly you had just met a new BF at the time when I was fairly new here and I could always count on you for a laugh about your "sleeping arrangements" when I didn't feel like laughing very much. Will look forward to your posts.

Good to hear from you. Must have thought you up. I thought of you earlier in the thread about why we chose our avatars. And I'd totally forgotten about this one - I was thinking of your pink cartoony one. Glad to see you around.

Thanks all!

Well, to a certain extent, that's true. I found a man and was busy with him, and didn't have leftover energy for this board.

However, two years of sleeping on the floor finally got on my last nerve and I snapped and we're now broken up.

I don't think there is any larger moral to this story for cpap-ers. We had other variables other than my CPAP. When we COULD share a bed (hotel rooms), we slept fine together, and he was never bothered by my machine. He never had any problems with it. That's not why I was sleeping on the floor. He just has a very tiny (Double size) bed, that wasn't big enough for two full size people. He kept making noise about buying another bed, but, like alot of things he said, that was never his true intention. He just wanted me to shrink 12 sizes and become the petite Asian marathon runner chick of his dreams, and then I'd fit perfectly in his existing lifestyle.

But, life goes on.

Cheers,
B.

Babette, good to see you (and your sense of humor) back. The beard is, ah, fetching. Yeah, that's the word I was looking for... fetching. In case you ever get tired of this forum, you can go here: http://nationalbeardregistry.org

Getting old doesn't make you 'forgetful'. Having too damn many things to remember makes you 'forgetful'.
