APAP webinars - new with improved sound

Post by ozij » Mon Sep 20, 2010 11:24 am

http://www.devilbissclinicaleducation.c ... l_webinars

Subject name changed ; Edited to add:
Although made by DeVilbiss, they are not for DeVilbiss users alone -- I highly recommend them for anyone who wants to learn about how APAP's work and how to read their charts.

Since the webinars can be relevant to all APAP users - and those who want to learn about the, I'm editing the heading.

Are there educational materials like this for the ResScan software?

Ozij - that webinar was great!

I use the PR System One Auto and could easily follow this and use it to help understand my PR System One data. Of course, the presenter does make the point that it can be used with any software data and refers to some of the differences thorughout the presentation - so it's useful for most any machine. I was using the M Series when last looked at this and it helped with interpretation of data on that machine too. I still have some trouble with Resmed data but he cleared up a lot when he spoke of the use of the 95% or 90% or any other percent for that matter in setting straight cpap pressure especially. I like that he also mentioned which patients might do well in auto mode and which might do better on straight cpap.

I looked at this site before but gave up because the sound quality was so bad! That has really been improved.

Anyone have trouble registering? I went to the link and completed the registration, and after a few hours, still haven't received a confirmation, so am unable to access the webinar. I checked my spam folder, but it wasn't sent there.

Thanks ozij, for posting this. I hadn't heard of this resource before, and it will be useful information.

I registered quite some time ago and just put in my username and password and logged in when I went to the site today.

I didn't need to try registering as a new participant.

Not sure what to suggest but this will bump you the thread up and maybe someone will have a suggestion.

KatieW, I received my logon email from them within about 3 minutes. Have you checked your spam folder?

It worked, after I used a different email address. I'm listening to the one on Autotitrating CPAP....this is fantastic stuff! Thanks again ozij.

I think I must be a RT wannabe.

The previous version was horrid. I'm glad they fixed it (they promised they would -- I have no idea when they finally did).

Yes it does. Automatic c pap machines can give some people better therapy. Understanding our machines help smost of us.

At this point, you may find the following more helpful for you:
http://www.resmed.com/au/assets/documen ... 0914r1.pdf, a ResMedica issue devoted to CPAP compliance problems.
