Resmed s9 Autoset New User
Resmed s9 Autoset New User
Hello to anyone considering to buy the ResMed s9 autoset. My advise is BUY IT!!!!. It is money well spent. I was on Cpap for 2 1/2 years, I fought that THING every night, some nights thinking about throwing that machine against the wall. I did not notice much of a change with the cpap machine so I thought surgery would be my best bet. So I had UUUP Surgery. Nose ,throat and tonsil surgery. I felt much better after that. I thought my apena was done with. I was wrong. I am a Truck driver , and the DOT wanted me to have another sleep study. So I did, and It showed I was still having the apneas, with my index at about half. I was really upset about that. After I found that out I thought I would try a Mouth piece that moved your lower jaw out to prevent the apeans. I took another sleep test with the mouth piece and it did not work either. So I had to go back to the CPAP or find another job. Thats when I started searching the internet and ran across info on the ResMed s9 Autoset. I thought what the heck, I will give it a try and see what happens. It is absolutly AMAZING. It is not like the regular cpap with the constant blowing all night long. It is your normal breathing pattern. I had to take the mask off to see if the machine was on. The Mask I choose is the ResMed Quuatro full face. It is alot better than the nasal mask I had before. My energy level is off the charts , my vision is more clear and focused. This machine is very easy to us and I would highly reccomend it. I would like to see my Data results on the SD card, Does anyone know how to access it. Any help appreciated.

Glad to hear your success with your s9.
You can go here: viewtopic/t52732/ResScan-310-gt-311.html
and ask real nice for the 3.11 software down load.

You need a piece of software called Rescan. Resmed doesn't want to sell it to end users here in the US, which makes it a bit of a trick to find. There are some off-shore web sites that will sell it, you can pick up a pirated copy, you can buy it from a seller on E-bay, or someone might "loan" you a copy.
I haven't tried Rescan with an SD card. The smartcard drivers only work on 32-bit PCs, which are getting less and less common all the time. It does, however, work on the Macintosh under Parallels. I have no clue if Rescan works on 64-bit PCs when using the SD card.

That link referenced a couple of posts earlier should give you a lot of info on using ResScan which will show you the greatest amount of data and is highly recommended. I don't know by your question if you are being able to see all your onscreen data, or are only being able to see the "Usage" data which is mighty slim.
Just in case you don't know how to get all your onscreen data (or for someone else new reading this thread) I've outlined the steps below.
You will be entering the Clinician’s menu of the S9--that was designed to be used only by doctors and technicians. Changing something in here, especially in the “Settings” menu could affect your settings and therapy. So if you are new to this you might want to write down all the various parameters that you find before you change anything. If you do this, you can always go back and reset to your initial parameters set by the doctor/DME.
FYI, the Push Dial acts as both a scrolling tool by twisting the top clockwise or counter-clockwise and a selection tool by gently pushing the center top down until it clicks.
1. Push down on the Push Dial to bring up the “Home” screen.
2. First you want to make sure that all data recording is enabled on your S9. To do this enter the Clinician’s menu by simultaneously holding down for 3 seconds the top of the Push Dial and the Setup button (rectangular with 2 checks marks showing).
3. Now twist the top of the Push Dial until you get to the “Options Menu.” Select into it by pushing the Push dial and scroll down until you get to the blue highlighted section labeled “Sleep Quality” Push the dial and the section should now be highlighted in orange. Twist the dial until “On” shows and push the dial again so that it goes back to blue highlight with “On” showing. You have now enabled your S9 to show as much onscreen data as possible.
4. You can continue to explore (hint, hint writing down all the existing settings) by scrolling down to the “Back” selection and pressing the Push dial, or you can exit back to the “Home” screen by going to where it says Home and selecting that. Once you’ve initially done these first three steps (unless you undo the Sleep Quality On setting), on subsequent days you can start at step #5.
5. So now assuming you are back at the very first Home screen, simultaneously hold down for 3 seconds the Info (rectangular button with “i” on it) and the “Setup” button. The “Sleep Quality” screen should be showing.
6. Twist the Push Dial, usually once clockwise until you see the “Sleep Report” screen. Push the Push Dial to enter the report and scroll down to see all your onscreen data (data ends with “Run Hrs").
7. Once you’ve viewed your data use the same “Back” or “Home” selection to exit the Sleep Report and explore further or go back Home.
8. There is even more data available on your computer if you install ResScan 3.11. If/when you get
To that point just do a search here for ResScan 3.10 or 3.11 or follow that link that was given.
Now check your PM for some documentation that you may find interesting.
Good luck and happy sleeping

I'm running ResScan on a 64 bit system with the SD card with no problems so far. Windows 7 Professional x64jweeks wrote:

Re: Resmed s9 Autoset New User
I tried to install Rescan 3.11 on 64 bit windows 7 machine and got an error "platform not supported".
How did you install it successfully ?
Did you go through "typical" or "custom" installation?
I tried custom and at the end there was a screen with two check boxes for two drivers. I selected both and soon I got an error.
Thanks
