Re: Dual Tests
Well now, you were going for a sleep study. I would anticipate this to mean that you expected to sleep and were expected to sleep. Since the intention was to evaluate your sleep and determine if you needed CPAP and if you did to find what pressure you needed just how much time did you anticipate yo...

Re: Dual Tests
OK, I'm going to make a serious suggestion instead of just snarky remarks about sleep labs. Why don't you call your doctor or call around to some doctors and see if there is one that will let you do an at home study, I think someone suggested this? I just had an at-home study, and the DME actually ...

Re: Newbie Questions
I also have a couple more questions I have thought of. 1) I recently have gained like 15 pounds in the last 4 months. The last 4 months is when I really started having real serious apnea symptoms like chocking and dry mouth. Did the 15 pounds I gained have to do with me eating to much or was there s...

Newbie Questions
I am going for my second sleep study next week and have following questions. 1) Should I begin a weight loss program immediately or will the loss of weight affect the settings of the CPAP machine? 2) If I lose enough weight to where I am no longer obese, what is the likelihood I will no longer need ...

Re: Need Input Please
I'm sure there's any number of Reds to be a fan of, but if by Reds fan that means Cincinnati Reds, I'm curious as to where you had your study. Most of the places in this area that I'm familiar with (4) have a sleep doctor affiliated with the facility. Ask where you had the study about that. Best wi...

Re: Need Input Please
From one Reds fan to another, welcome. Couple things I want to cosign with others on. Your case is not just the garden variety of OSA. Talk to the dcotor up front about how they handle such cases differently. . Thanks for responses everyone. What exactly does it mean that my case is not just the ga...

Need Input Please
This is the result of my sleep study from last week. I have been diagnosed as having moderate sleep apnea. I am in the process of finding a family doctor but I was wondering if some of the people here could fill me in on the following report because I understand very little of it. One question I do ...
