cpap mask liners for ResMed Mirage Liberty??!!

Post by ephskiing377 » Tue Jun 15, 2010 8:03 pm

Fellow Cpapers,
I am looking for a cpap mask liner for the ResMed Mirage Liberty full face. I currently experience leaking from the nasal pillows and sometimes from the oral mouth cushion. I would really like some help finding a cpap mask liner for the Liberty. If you could also give me some hints on how to help my leakage problem I am having with my Mirage Liberty. Thanks for your help.

Sincerely,
Chad

Maybe one of these will work...lots of us wearing the hybrid-style love 'em but need an extra strap to help anchor the pillows: viewtopic.php?t=14422&highlight=
ResMed S9 range 9.8-17, RespCare Hybrid FFM

Hi Ephskiing,

I recently gave up on the Liberty hybrid--it just didn't fit my face. I'm trying the Innomed hybrid tonight. However, while sleuthing this forum, I did find Remzzzs, soft cloth mask liners which can help with microleaks and increase comfort. I have no interest in the company. I emailed Remzzzs last month to ask about which liner would work with the mouth piece of the hybrid masks. Here is their response:
Currently we are in the development phase for a liner which will work with the Liberty/Hybrid style masks. We will notify you once we make this product available. We appreciate that you took the time to contact us. In the meantime, we have had some customers report that they have used the liner for the Quattro with some success by turning it sideways and covering the mouth portion only of the Liberty mask. This is just a workaround for the time being and you may or may not find that this works for you. Please let us know if there is anything else that we can assist you with.

I ordered the small and medium liner Quattro samples which they suggested, and found them to be a little awkward with the hybrid, as the hole in the cloth is asymmetrical--designed for a full face mask. I'll keep trying to use it though with the innomed hybrid, as I find the cloth to be much more comfortable against my skin than the silicone from the mask. If you want, it may help all of us if you too tell Remzzs that you would be interested in a liner specifically for the hybrids--squeaky wheel and all.

As you'll find on Muse-Inc's link, it often seems that when one of the hybrids leaks badly on a face shape, the other one often seems to fit that face shape better. If the Liberty doesn't work, you may want to consider trying the Innomed.

Good luck,

Happy Sleeper
