F&P HC254 Error and DME praise

Post by Hrast » Mon May 31, 2010 7:19 pm

So, while I was on vacation last week, my Fisher&Paykel Sleep Style HC254 started displaying an error, E51. It would happen when it was turned on, plugged in, the USB stick inserted, etc... It ran fine, but after clearing the data on the unit, it never logged another thing at all. I called the DME where I got the machine (it was 14 months old) and they scheduled me to come in Friday at 2p.

So I brought in the machine. The DME asked me about the error I was seeing, as she was getting the cord to plug it in. I told her the error and she said "Oh, I don't even have to plug this in." Apparently, there's been quite a spate of these machines failing in this way. She got me a new machine, reset it up, got me a new mask (Mirage Quattro), new tubing and got my information to the guy who orders replacement parts. She was really great, and just a genuinely nice and helpful person. The company was Healthline Medical Equipment.
