Another Successful CPAP Camping Trip!

Post by Georgio » Mon Apr 12, 2010 10:58 am

Good Afternoon,

Just returned from another 2 night Boy Scout camping trip. I instructed Lifesaving Merritt Badge in the lake during the day. The cpap was trouble free again using this great battery from Johnny "B" Goodman: (I highly recommend it for car camping, and it's available in case of blackout!)

The first night dropped down into the 40s and the air coming in the overhead suspended hose became quite cold. In the middle of the night I unzipped the bottom of the sleeping bag and stuck the M-Series in my bag. Now it was taking in "warm" air from inside my bag. Much better. As a bonus, I noticed the second night when removing the cpap in the morning, it was somewhat warm.....wow, now as a bonus I have a sleeping bag heater when I need it!

Regards to you all!

Congratulations on another successful CPAP camping trip. My husband and son still talk about how loud the other scout leaders snored from across the camp on their infamous campouts 10-15 years ago. It's too bad those men didn't have and bring cpaps along. Now my husband also sleeps with a cpap and it's nice to know we can still go camping. Best wishes to you! You are a CPAP ambassador to the scouts and their families.

I actually had forgotten about the loud snoring from most of the leaders. Since I have had cpap and I also wear foam ear plugs every night at home or camping, I can't hear a thing. I used to locate my tent about 100 yards from the group out of consideration!
