Hello I'm new at this website I would like some insight on how long does it take once you start w/the CPAP, how long does it take before you start feeling better. I've using it since mid June and have not felt better.

Here's a thread where someone recently asked the same question and got a lot of great input. Hope this helps.....

My mother always says, "Attitude is Everything".
My problem is that I've got way too much of it!

How long to feel better?
Answer: from 1 night to forever. It just doesn't seem to help some (perhaps most) people. I think that this site is biased towards people who have been helped or still hope that it will help. The ones who tried and found it didn't work don't use this site any more. Another consideration is that whatever is making you feel poorly is not being caused by sleep apnea.
Hint for future posts: This site is all about cpap so try to be more specific than "cpap question" in your subject line. You will get more views that way.

Mickey,
Hi! And welcome. Glad you decided to post and let us get to know you.
I think Crazyone sent you a great link and reading that should provide the answer you're looking for. George does make one accurate point about most of the people who have given up on CPAP therapy are not going to answer you as they don't frequent our site anymore. But just by the amount of people who are here, it should tell you something. This therapy usually does work if you keep at it and have the right attitude.
Nothing about it is easy except knowing you need help. Everything else is a gray area and very individual for each person. But if you keep posting for support and answers, hopefully you will be one of the ones who DOES succeed and feels the great relief this therapy can bring.
If you have any other questions after reading the posts that Crazyone's link sends you to, please write. There are a lot of wonderful people here ready and willing to answer them. Best of luck and don't give up!!!
