I seem to have lots of trouble exhaling with CPAP, so my doctor (I finally found a good sleep doctor, a pulmonologist) is going to titrate me on BiPap tomorrow night. What should I expect? Does it feel the same as CPAP? Will I notice the change in pressure? For some reason I have trouble exhaling against even low pressures of 4 and 6. Does BiPap go lower than a pressure of 4 while exhaling? I am hopeful this will work for me. It's been a long year trying to find an answer to my OSA. I am currently using a dental device, which is helping but is not the magic cure I had hoped for.

If I had known I would have lived this long, I would have taken better care of myself.

I spent the first three months of therapy on CPAP, and like you had trouble exhaling. My doctor sent me in for a BiPAP titration, and they put me on one.
To be honest, it doesn't even seem like I am on a machine most times. I sometimes wake up and can only tell it is on because I open my mouth. It works for me.
Good luck with the test. When I did mine, I couldn't tell a whole lot what they were doing. I am sure you'll be getting a new machine shortly.
