REMstar plus humidifier question

Post by jpstim » Sat Nov 07, 2009 2:04 pm

Hi,
I am having a problem with my my humidifier. Water is coming up through my mask as I sleep. I am not sure if the humidifier unit needs to be replaced. The unit heats up but never gets hot. The water in the vessel is warm. The unit is no longer under warranty and I am not sure who I can have service it.

The machine is useless to me without the humidifier. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks, Jo

Sounds like rainout, what the water in the hose and mask is typically called.

Lower your humidifier setting, place your cpap lower than your mattress, route your hose upwards, cover your hose with a snuggle cover (can be purchased or made easily), any one or a combination should help. You can also purchase a heated hose (which is expensive).
