Auto Bipap SV

Post by TylersDad » Wed Oct 21, 2009 7:49 am

I had a study done last week on the Auto Bipap SV and the next day around lunch time I had a pain in what felt like my right lung for 24 - 36 hours. Has this happened to others? Is this common?

I am just concerned if I go on this unit full time what the effects will be.

Thanks for the help!

The pain in your right lung was not caused by the BiPAP Auto SV unless your study was performed with a BiPAP AVAPS run in AVAPS mode at the wrong setting. A BiPAP Auto SV or any CPAP/BiPAP device (other than AVAPS) cannot distend your lung regardless of the setting. You may have incurred a light chest strain as a result of an activity not related to your sleep therapy. If it makes you feel better, see a pulmo.
