Re: MIrage Activa LT
If you go to Cpap.com and pull up the page for the mask you'll see reviews about it (from many people here) lower down on the page.

I use it. I love it. What else do you want to know?
The straps don't leave marks on your face. It is very comfortable and maintains a great seal even when moving side to side. I tend to keep it cranked down pretty tight. I do this beacuse in my case, it forms a ridge kind of seal over my lips. This helps remind my lips to stay closed.
I highly recommend the Activia LT.

I use the Activa LT as a backup mask,if I want a change from the Swift LT.

I've been considering doing something similar. Anyone gone to this mask after using the ComfortGel? That's the only full nasal I'm familiar with. I bailed on it because I didn't like having a giant red mark in my forehead and over the bridge of my nose. That, and the leak issues from when I'd roll onto my stomach.5aces wrote:I use the Activa LT as a backup mask,if I want a change from the Swift LT.
Re: MIrage Activa LT
I went to the Activa LT after using the Ultra Mirage II for a number of years. For me, at least, it maintains a better seal even if I sleep on my side (always somewhat problematic with the Ultra Mirage). So far I am happy with it.
Re: MIrage Activa LT
best mask for me- great seal as it act like a balloon, at the same time with less tension on the straps

Re: MIrage Activa LT
Based on what I've read I think the Activa LT might be the way to go for me. I think I need to get away from the nose pillow styles and this looks like the way to go. I've considered the ComfortGel (I had actually used the Profile Lite before, not the ComfortGel), but the reviewers mentioned lots of problems with breakage which makes me think that its a top seller not because of the quality but because people are constantly having to replace it.
Considering I flop around a lot at night and sleep on my side/stomach most of the time, the Activa IT seems the best solution without going nose pillow again.
Anyone got any "warnings" one why Activa LT wouldn't be a good choice?

I use it as a backup as well. You can get some nasal bridge irritation from it, but I find that it usually goes away rather quickly. Not my primary as I mouth breathe from time to time, and although I can control leaks, can't get it down to 0.00 level that I can on Fit Life FF mask. (Last night had 15L/min). But while recuperating from chin sore from Fit Life, I'm using Activa successfully. Just raised my lower end pressure from 10 to 11 with the Activa, and had a good night.

Re: MIrage Activa LT
At this time, it's my mask of choice. If I lie on my back, then the straps have to be tightened. However, side sleeping allows for a much looser fit for me. My leak rate is quite acceptable. The only problem is that I adjust and re-adjust the straps several times upon lying down, but once I go to sleep, I never notice the mask at all. It allows a much better line of vision than some other masks, and that is great to me.

I have a thick beard and it seals well over it. I sleep mostly on my sides. I do find it presses a bit on my face too much when I'm on my back. the headgear is comfortable, and can easily take it off at night for restroom visits, and get it back on quickly.

Re: MIrage Activa LT
I was told by my DME that at the lower pressures the Activa LT tends to "pulse" (where the mask literally rises and falls) with your breathing. I'm running a 10 right now and she said I may notice a kind of pulsing with each breath. I don't know if that's actually going to be an issue, but I'm curious if anyone has experienced the what she described.

And that is the reason they call it 'Activa'-for active sleepers:

The built in cushion movement has not been a problem and is in fact a welcome respite from the mostly static nasal pillows.

Re: MIrage Activa LT
I join all of you who have found the Mirage Activia LT, to be a good mask. It was my favorite until I found a similar mask.
It is the Paykel & Fisher Zest nasal mask. I got them both about the same time. I was sure the ResMed would be my favorite, it look to be a stronger-made mask. After alternating with them, I found the Zest to be much lighter, and easier to use. When I first purchased the Zest, I thought the headgear looked flimsy and the side-hooks looked as though they might pop out at any time.
It turned out to be reasonable sturdy. I have used the same Zest headgear for 6 month. It may have stretched a bit, but it still fits satisfactorily. I have changed mouthpieces about every 2 to 3 months. I keep trying to use the Mirage Activia LT once in a while, but the lightness and excellent fit of the Zest has sold me.

Re: MIrage Activa LT
My DME was really pushing the Zest, so I think I'm going to actually try and have a look at it. She really pushed it though so I had to wonder if there were vendor related kick backs involved.SaltLakeJan wrote:I join all of you who have found the Mirage Activia LT, to be a good mask. That makes sense, but what I was told is that the subtle "flex" you see in the video is more prominent at lower pressures. To the point of occurring with every breath. Even if that is the case though, I doubt it will bother me if the seal is good.5aces wrote:And that is the reason they call it 'Activa'-for active sleepers:
