Whats the feeling on changing pressure say from 9 to 12 w/o telling doc, as he is very clinical and goes 100000% by the book and test??

Changing Pressure
Re: Changing Pressure
I don't tell my MD when I change pressures. The question is why do you want to change the pressure and why from 9 to 12? You were titrated at 9,a jump to 12 is a big jump.

Re: Changing Pressure
As Brenda points out, two different questions.
What's the feeling about not telling your doc? Depends on who you are and who the doc is. Some of us have doctors we can collaborate with, others do not. My doc. figured he finished his job when he passed me on to an equipment supplier, my PCP has never asked anything about the therapy.
What's the feeling about moving from 9 to 12? I would never do that, I need the changes real slow -- and this is true of many.
So what makes you thing you have to make such a dramatic change -- in one step?
O.

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.

Re: Changing Pressure
Sounds reasonable to me......if that much of a jump doesn't bother you......it's YOUR therapy.Velroc wrote:Whats the feeling on changing pressure say from 9 to 12 w/o telling doc, as he is very clinical and goes 100000% by the book and test??

However, just make sure that "mouth-leaking" is not your problem. (I see you use a nasal mask) If you ARE mouth-leaking, increasing the pressure will only send more air out of your mouth and won't help your therapy.
