CONGRATULATIONS!!!! IF I found a sleep doctor like that I'd think I had died and gone to heaven!!!
Thanks, dels. I think so, too!dels wrote:thats really wonderful!
Yes, our stories are sagas, aren't they? That's sad. But we're on the road to a better future, thanks to the good fortune of finding wonderfully competent sleep doctors. I feel very fortunate, and I'm sure Marilyn and Jan do, too. Everyone should be so lucky!JoyD. wrote:Beauty,
I've also been following your saga and Mar's & Jan's), and have been rooting for you all!
Thanks! That's exactly how I do feel, Slinky! If I'd known then what I know now, I'd have searched for this kind of doctor at the very beginning of my CPAP journey. Live and learn. (And soon, I'll really sleep!!!)Slinky wrote:CONGRATULATIONS!!!! IF I found a sleep doctor like that I'd think I had died and gone to heaven!!!

awesome!
and on page 7 (bet this was the previous doc's "Clinical Director" woman) this person suddenly appeared:BleepingBeauty wrote:I'm too tired right now to go into many details, but there were no fireworks today. In fact, they beat me to the punch (da bastids! ) I was really looking forward to telling them what I think about their "care," but I guess they have a pretty good idea about that already! (Read on.)
I handed over the APAP and they handed me a letter, discontinuing their service to me as a health care provider. They've been reading this forum (HA! Infamy is mine, at last! ), and they're not too happy with what I've been saying about them.
There're plenty of reasons to congratulate BB for getting away from that outfit.waytootired wrote:How sad that the actual stories never make it on to this site... how about the truth? I guess that wouldn't be melodramatic enough for a good story. If patients were more honest with their providers they might be able to get somewhere with issues... the shame is that they are not always forthcoming and frankly many are out to just cause trouble. In the end, if patients don't work with their provider, the provider can't help the patient. It's as simple as that. Have fun with your drama on here.
Too cute! Thanks, -SWS!-SWS wrote: And my own reaction in a word is... supercali... supercalifra.... supercalifragil....
Awe heck! Let's just do it in icons!

Thanks to you, too, RG. A good'un, indeed, and I am one happy camper!rested gal wrote:Yup. As -SWS said I'd say... Ya found a "good'un", BB!
Say, what's the altitude of Prescott Valley?BleepingBeauty wrote:She also mentioned the altitude issue and would prefer to set up a new sleep study nearer to where I live (elev. about 5,000 feet; her office is at 1,100). But she's not familiar with many labs in my area and is more confident about dictating the circumstances of the new study at one of the labs she deals with regularly, so that she can find the answers to the questions she has about my situation.

I don't know of any first-hand (or even second-hand) but when you said you lived at 5000 feet, wanted to match up elevation, and a topographical map showed Prescott Valley at about that height, I said "Hey, huh?"BleepingBeauty wrote:About 5,000 feet.Muffy wrote:Say, what's the altitude of Prescott Valley?BleepingBeauty wrote:She also mentioned the altitude issue and would prefer to set up a new sleep study nearer to where I live (elev. about 5,000 feet; her office is at 1,100). Why do you ask, Muffmeister? If you know of a good lab near there, please enlighten me.
Yes, and yes. There are only two labs that I know of in that area, and that's one of them.Muffy wrote:I don't know of any first-hand (or even second-hand) but when you said you lived at 5000 feet, wanted to match up elevation, and a topographical map showed Prescott Valley at about that height, I said "Hey, huh?"BleepingBeauty wrote:About 5,000 feet.Muffy wrote: Say, what's the altitude of Prescott Valley?

Do you live near there? Do you know anything about the Sleep Disorders Center of Prescott Valley?

Ahh, Muffintop. You have an interesting and cryptic way of expressing yourself. Took me a few minutes to figure out what you were saying, but I got there. I trust most others here (who aren't as sleep-deprived as I am these days) will get it much faster than I did.Muffy wrote:
