Nasal pillows and leaks

Post by fpotter » Thu Apr 30, 2009 7:14 am

I have both the Swift LT and II, and have problems with both. The straps on the Swift II slip, which is annoying and have to be tightened at least twice each night, plus they shift up my head during the night. Result: leaks.

Pressure is set at 9, sio that probably doesn't add significantly to the problem.

I've thought of stapling them, once I find the correct tension, but that seems so...permanent.

Any suggestions on fixes or alternatives will be appreciated.

Some people here have had good luck using the PAP CAP. It seems to stabilize the headgear. I'm not sure if it will actually replace the headgear for your particular mask.

Frank,

As an alternative to stapling: Wrap some velcro around your velcro adjustments to hold them in place.

The PapCap, as Bev suggested, is a possibility. I have the Swift LT mask and a use PapCap.
My headgear works better without the cap. But I need the chinstrap. Your Mileage May Vary.

you might want to check this and search for swift as well as swift LT (do a find on page and find the blue Swift twice)
