Australia heated hose shipping transit time?
Australia heated hose shipping transit time?
Good morning!
Anyone remember how long it took to get the hot hose from down under? Did it ship UPS or what?
They sent me an e-mail on 27 July that it shipped. I'm anxious to get it as I'm leaving town for vacation at ungodly o'clock Saturday morning.
Thanks...
Chuck

Two weeks to the day.
To Israel.
Economy airmail.
I seem to remember a mention of 2-3 weeks, but have no idea where that was.
Chuck you're the guy who told us you were impatient, aren't you?

How's it going ? - glad you are getting right into the swing of things. Let us know what you think of the heated tube. Does the air get warmed very much or is it barely noticable ?

Interesting question. I've used my Aussie heated hose for two nights, and I swear I had rainout both nights. Do I have to turn it on somehow - or is it 'on' as long as everything is connected?Does the air get warmed very much or is it barely noticable ?
One soft, sweet song's just enough to clear my head...
Hi Charles3,
Notice how the posts spread out across the page and then some, in this thread? I think it has to do with your software description. If you cut off the part about the 6 foot cable etc the page width will be easier to read.
This happened before and it seems to me thats the remedy. However I am no computer expert, maybe someone else can comment.

If the power pack is plugged in and the power lead is connected to the power pack, it should be on. Did you get a power pack with it or are you advised to buy one from Radio Shack (suitable for local electricity?)
I imagine you should be able to feel some warmth from the coils on the tube.
(but not actually owning one, I am just guessing )
Cheers

dsm,
I'm doing ok. I'm on my second mask, using the Swift at the moment. Tonight will be my first night with Aussie heated hose. Hopefully my rainout will be a thing of the past. Last night in the middle of the night I had to take off the Swift because of rainout. The water started making noise inside the Swift. Could not sleep with that noise. Felt like crap in the morning, even after 10hrs of sleep
I'm starting to feel a little better when I do use the CPAP. Now with the heated hose and the Swift I will use the CPAP regularly. I have being using CPAP for a week and few days now, with a couple of nights not using it. Hopefully things will get better with time. I will let you know my experience with the heated hose.
Katie,
My understanding is that, once it's plugged in it will be on. I did buy the power adaptor from Radio Shack part# 273-1776 and plug (letter I) for the end that plugs into the heated hose end.

The first 2 or 3 nights I turned the humidifier on too high, and despite the hose being warm I had condensation on the short Breeze hose and in the shell.
I think you also have to consider your pressure - with lower pressure the air blows slower, and probably collects more relative moisture.
Tonight I had my pb humidifier on 2, I spent 80% of the night on 5, 20% on 6, and it was excellent.
The air coming out of the Breeze never felt hot - probably cooled in that short hose.
You can buy hose covers for the Breeze as well.

...edited typo (one I caught... thing instead of think.. )
