Slightly OT: *&^^$#%* Vista 64-bit

So, my laptop died about a week ago...and I replaced it with a similar one that turns out to have the 64-bit version of Vista. I've check the all the specs I can find about this machine, online and on the box and at the store, and nothing specifies 64-bit, just Vista Home Premium. Now I have to use my husband's laptop to run Encore Viewer, which I guess is only fair because I'm checking his data, too. But I also had to download 64-bit versions of the driver for my wireless mouse and of iTunes. I haven't downloaded everything I need yet. Wonder what else will be a special version????????
