APAP AND HIATAL HERNIA
I have had two surgeries in the past two years for hiatal hernia repair. I started using an A-Pap 3 months ago. Recently I started with some bloating and distension. I am wondering if the cpap use is going to effect my hernia due to the air in my stomach. I hate to have to schedule a Drs. appt. just to ask him that.

Re: apap and hyatal hernia
The post referenced below gives some information on what's happening. Be glad you have an APAP as you might be able to improve the situation. viewtopic.php?p=278425#p278425
I suggest you try to discover the low setting that is below your LES threshold yet still does the job. In my case my machine sits at or near the low setting about 75% of the night, yet jumps up to grab the events well. This means I only am getting exposure to bloating 25% of the night and can deal with that.

It's going to be okay in the end; if it's not okay, it's not the end.
